Leroy Township Board Meeting
Tuesday, February 3, 2026 – 7:00 p.m.
Township Hall – 1685 N. M-52, Webberville, MI.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor Earl L. Griffes
Board members present: Earl L. Griffes, Gina L. Whitehead, Heidi Ream, R. Scott Diederich, Loretta K. Benjamin.
Absent:
Also present: Dennis Dyko, Steve & Monica Moreno
January 13, 2026, meeting minutes were presented to the Board. Diederich and Griffes noticed there were people present at the meeting that were not on the minutes. Whitehead commented that they did not sign in and that the minutes would be updated. Motioned by Diedrich and seconded by Griffes to approve the meeting minutes with updates. Aye 5-Nay 0. Motion passed.
No public comment.
BS&A Net to Cloud update was discussed with the Board. This is an update that must take place in the future. There is an upfront cost with an annual cost for the upgrade. The Board plans on budgeting for this at the upcoming Annual Meeting.
2026 Local Road Program was discussed. The roads to be worked on are the rest of Meech Rd., from Dennis Rd to Frost Rd. and Culver Hill. The Board approved the budget for $150,000 and will be set at Annual Meeting.
MTA Principles of Governance was brought to the Board. Griffes read the policy aloud and the Board voted Aye-5 Nay-0 to adopt the updated document, and all board members signed it to reaffirm the MTA Boards mission and values. Motion passed. The signed document is posted in the lobby of the Township.
New kitchen coffee pot is needed because it is leaking water from underneath and will not brew correctly. Coffee is made every day of regular operations, election days and rentals. Whitehead gave the Board information on the new machine to review. Diederich motioned to approve the new coffee pot as presented and seconded by Whitehead. Voted Aye-5 Nay-0. Motion passed.
Payment of bills was presented to the Board. Diederich questioned the Williamston Area Senior Center tax distribution checks being so different from month to month. Ream assured him that this varies due to how many people pay in taxes during the months. Motioned to pay the bills as presented and seconded by Ream. Roll call vote: Griffes-Yes, Ream-Yes, Diederich-Yes, Benjamin-Yes, and Whitehead-Yes. Motion passed.

Griffes declared the meeting adjourned at 7:47 pm.
